Re: Is Flash dead?

You said:

Adobe discontinued any Flash development and fired all the Flash team falks ages ago

the article you linked to says:

Adobe announced in an email yesterday that it is halting development on future mobile versions of Flash

Which is what I said. Tell me again; who is confused?

The HTML 4 spec was constantly upgraded till the period were a new spec was suggested.

BS. The HTML 4 spec was finalised in 1997. What browsers did was to unilaterally add functionality (and copy from other browsers). Clearly you know very little about the standardisation process. (hint: HTML5 is due to be finalized in 2016)

Authoring tool =/= Development tool. Animation is not code. Flash is an authoring tool, not an IDE, designers/animators are certainly not developers. I said Authoring tool in my initial statement, I did not mean an IDE. am I clear enough now? As an Adobe certified Flash expert, I'm sure you know what keyframes and timelines are.

Where on earth did you get the idea I even mentioned polyfills? You keep branching out to new topics to disagree on; topics that aren't even related to my initial points.

Flash has no use for you in your mockup work, I concur. But for people who work in Animation (I repeat, ANIMATION), flash is currently the most painless solution.

Carry on.
